About Kody C. Silva

Kody C. Silva is a partner at Kirker Davis, LLP. Kody focuses his legal practice on divorce, child custody and support, and family law matters affecting the LGBTQ+ community. Prior to joining Kirker Davis, Kody worked closely with founding partners Chris M. Kirker and Holly R. Davis at Zinda & Davis, PLLC as an associate family law attorney. As an associate attorney with the general practice firm of Ackerman Brown, PLLC in Washington, DC, Kody’s practice included business planning and formation, general civil litigation, real estate, and LGBTQ+ family issues. Prior to joining Ackerman Brown, Kody worked as an Assistant Attorney General in the Child Support Services Division of the Office of the Attorney General for the District of Columbia, where he represented the District in paternity and child support prosecution hearings. While at the Office of the Attorney General, Kody also worked as a Special Assistant Attorney General in the Civil Litigation Division, defending the District in breach of contract, employment discrimination, workers’ compensation, and personal injury matters.

Kody graduated from Baylor University School of Law, where he was President of the Baylor Public Interest Law Society and participated in the Baylor Innocence Project.

Prior to law school, Kody graduated with distinction from the University of Nebraska’s Honors Program, receiving his B.A. in Psychology and Sociology.
