The most common question we receive is, how much will my divorce case cost? And the answer is, it really does depend. It depends on the level of as well as the level of conflict. If you have a highly complex case involving multiple businesses, it’s very likely that your case would cost more than someone who only has, say, a home, one retirement account, and one vehicle. Furthermore, if you have a high level of conflict, that can lead to an additional amount of attorney time, which therefore leads to an additional amount of cost to you. One way to keep costs down, if you are going through a divorce, is to try your best to reduce the level of conflict and speak very early and often with your attorney to get through some of the most complex issues, so they don’t become a problem down the road.
