Bethany G. Gingras is an associate attorney at Kirker Davis; her areas of focus include complex divorce and family law matters as well as estate planning. Drawn to family law after growing up in a blended family, she understands, from experience, many of the challenges her clients face and is committed to the empathetic and professional representation of those who entrust her with their personal matters. She is passionate about empowering her clients by educating them on all available avenues to help them make an informed and wise decision that best suits their circumstances. While negotiating the most favorable agreement possible for her clients is usually the preferred outcome, Bethany also believes that the most effective negotiators are fierce litigators as well. In the courtroom, Bethany is an ardent advocate committed to seeking the best interests of her clients. Drawn to the legal profession because of a desire to help others, Bethany has found that motivation fulfilled by guiding clients through a process they never imagined they would find themselves in and zealously advocating on their behalf.
Bethany graduated cum laude from Baylor University School of Law and completed the Family Law Practice Professional Track. She was also the highest ranked student in Family Law Advocacy. During her time in Waco, she served on the editorial board of the Baylor Law Review as the Managing Senior Executive Editor and was published by the organization for her work analyzing Supreme Court precedent in Establishment Clause cases. Off campus, Bethany served as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) in McLennan County, a volunteer advocacy program for abused or neglected children. She also assisted with Baylor’s Naturalization and Veterans’ Clinics. She has spent time clerking for the Child Support Division of the Texas Attorney General’s Office in Austin and interning with United States Magistrate Judge Jeffrey C. Manske in Waco.
Prior to attending law school, Bethany spent two years in Madrid, Spain, where she taught English to students in both elementary and secondary education. During this time, Bethany became conversational in Spanish and has since continued to study the language. Bethany graduated summa cum laude from the University of Florida with a degree in Sociology and minors in both Anthropology and English. During her final year of study, Bethany’s honors thesis focused on women in the workplace and investigated the balance of work and family by conducting interviews with women leaders in various industries. While at the University of Florida, she was a member of the Delta Zeta sorority and the Equestrian Team.
Proud to call Austin home, Bethany spends her free-time hiking in the Hill Country, tending to her many house plants, and playing with her tri-paw’d cat, Baxter, whom she adopted from Austin Pets Alive.
