April earned her Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from Kansas State University and her law degree from the University of Texas. While at K-State she was actively involved in the Equine Program and received numerous scholastic awards. At the University of Texas School of Law, she was a John B. Connally scholar and editor of the Texas Journal of Women in the Law.
April is the solo-parent of a successful young entrepreneur, Roxanna, who is the light of her life. She is committed to animal welfare and rescues and fosters abandoned pets. She is also deeply committed to the future of our community and is an active member of many local charitable organizations and keeps a small docket of pro bono matters to help those less fortunate obtain legal services.
